We will meet up at 3pm at Eastmont Mall in the parking lot between taco bell and burger king. If possible please decorate your car with M4ALL signs at home and consider festive decorations like streamers or balloons. Get creative to draw attention! Homemade signs have the highest impact. Or, you can tape signs on in the parking lot. High risk people will stay in their cars and volunteers will decorate their cars. Carpenter tape saves tape removal headaches. I'll bring some tape and extra signs to the meetup location. We will stay 6 feet apart and wear masks in the parking lot. Bring another person who can ride with you if possible. CARAVAN ROUTE: We'll exit the mall parking lot and turn Left onto Church St. Turn RIGHT onto Bancroft Ave. Stay on Bancroft and once you pass 50th Ave, Bancroft becomes Bond St. LEFT onto High St. RIGHT onto International Blvd RIGHT onto 34th Ave. The end point will be the Fruitvale Post Office (1445 34th St.) but we'll circle the block at the post office a few times for photos and then end the action. (No parking lot there.) We'll take pictures of the caravan at the mall and later at the post office. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: This action needs volunteers who are not high risk for COVID. Please contact the host by email or text if you can help with the following roles: * Taking photos/video (at the start and end points) * Direct traffic in the parking lot * Tape signs onto cars PLAN FOR CARAVAN: We'll line up in our cars in the parking lot, get pictures, and then we'll drive slowly along and show public support for Medicare for All. SIGN IDEAS: We will have lots of extra signs available the day of the action but if you can, please make your signs at home in advance.
