I am writing to you today regarding your recent appearance on “Meet the Press,” where you said you do not support Medicare for All, despite having cosponsored the legislation in 2019 and 2021.

As Republican cuts are causing millions to lose coverage while accelerating hospital closures and service cuts, it’s clear that our health care system is broken. We are approaching a generational opportunity for health care reform in 2029, and you must commit to the only solution that guarantees high-quality health care to all people: Medicare for All.

Medicare for All is widely popular. 63% of people and 90% of Democrats support Medicare for All. The American people want the government to guarantee health care as a human right, and are calling on you to support legislation to make it happen.

I urge you to cosponsor H.R.3069, the Medicare for All Act. It’s time to get serious about fixing our broken health care system – and Medicare for All is the only policy solution that will achieve that goal. Thank you.
