On July 30th, 1965, Medicare was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson. On July 30th, 2026, people across the country will take action to honor the legacy of civil rights organizers who fought for the passage of Medicare – and to remind our elected officials that the vision of those organizers is not yet fully realized.
