While tens of millions of people in our country struggle to get the health care they need, corporations in the for-profit hospital, pharmaceutical, and insurance industries continue to make billions of dollars in profits. At the same time, these same corporations are spending millions of dollars to stop any attempts at reforming our broken healthcare system.

We, constituents of Nevada's 4th district, call on Rep. Horsford to cosponsor H.R. 1976, the Medicare for All Act of 2021, a bill that would address the scale of the crisis in our healthcare system.

Furthermore, Rep. Horsford is one of the top recipients of corporate health care donations in Congress. We call on Rep. Horsford to take the Patients Over Profits pledge to stop taking donations from these executives, lobbyists, and PACs.

These same corporations are working hard to prevent any meaningful reform of our health care system. Rep. Horsford must reject their influence and refrain from active opposition to H.R. 1976.
