Volunteer with Nurses for Newsom and Against the Recall

California nurses, who have borne an unbearable price for this pandemic, well know what our state has endured, especially for the most vulnerable among us. But without the mask mandates, stay at home and social distancing rules, and limits on unsafe commercial practices, the human toll would have been far worse.

In addition to opposing the Republican demand to end all pandemic safety measures, we have witnessed the attacks on voting and other democratic rights, on workplace and environmental and health care protections, on racial, gender and other social justice measures, and on additional assaults on working people in states that politicians with similar view to the Republican candidates seeking to replace Gov. Newsom have pushed through elsewhere.
